He takes immediate charge of his surroundings and associates despite embodying the back-line role of healer. His magnetic personality and aura of authority may fool greener minds, but dig deep enough past his princely ego and you'll grasp the desperate, impassioned heart of this spite-poisoned child in charge.

Cherub

A prima hailing from Old Sharlayan, Cherub previously devoted his life to the study and integration of Garlean ballet onto the modern stage -- and battlefield. His skill, dedication, and eventual dissertation earned him a degree and the rank of Archon. However, when the Calamity stuck he could no longer abide by Sharlayan's philosophy of non-interference and left his studies and fame behind to seek out employment with an old gleaner acquaintance in Gridania. He remains part of the Union's inner circle, serving on high-stakes missions which, coincidentally, provide him with the justice he seeks.

He was famous in Sharlayan for his grace, beauty, and intellect, but was notoriously adverse to friendship and flings. His blunt honesty was also a factor in his stunted social life. The man keeps to himself and is difficult to surprise despite being hard-of-hearing, a disability which is obvious despite his attempts to conceal it.
